What’s different in the region
Two loyalties
In a regional team, people report to you, but their first loyalty is to their own country. That’s normal. It becomes a problem when nobody owns the regional agenda.
Many cultures
Many nationalities, one meeting language. The people who speak most in English aren’t always the people who know most.
Far from head office
The strategy comes from Europe, the US or Asia. The offsite is where your team makes it its own, or says out loud that it doesn’t believe in it.
Beyond the founders
In family-owned groups, the leadership team often grows faster than the way it works together. The retreat is where you sort out who decides what.

Intake
A conversation with you, then one with each member of your team, in Dubai or by video. What they tell me shapes the design.

The days
Two or three days away from your own office, at a venue in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or elsewhere in the region. High touch, low tech.

Since 2016 I’ve worked with leadership teams in Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE: regional teams that meet a few times a year, and local teams that run the business every day. Because I have a base in Dubai, most teams in the region are a short drive or flight away.
